Tired of the dinner and a movie routine? If you’re anything like me, you love variety and doing different things. David says I get bored easily, which I think is a nice way of saying that I constantly need to be doing fun activities or I get restless. I’m sharing some of my favorite Valentines Date night ideas, for the baller on a budget (or as we call them in Dallas, 30K millionaires).
-Check out local events
I love to go on Facebook, to see what local events are happening. We’ve done everything from museum late nights, to outdoor movie events – and the best part, is that they’re normally free.
-Have a fancy dessert
Can’t afford the nicest restaurant in town for dinner? We go to some of our favorite places for just dessert instead.
-Make a gourmet meal at home
I don’t always enjoy cooking, but I do love the occasional fancy dinner at home. David and I will hit up all our favorite local markets and farmers markets, and get the ingredients for a great dinner at home.
-Go on a day trip
We live in Dallas, so there’s plenty of fun day trips in our area. From Magnolia Market, to Austin, sometimes a fun day is only a gas tank away.
-Check Groupon
I love Groupon – especially for finding great deals on date nights.
