As soon as August hits, it’s like a switch goes off in my brain. Gone are those High School Musical Two summer vibes, and in its place is a Hocus Pocus frame of mind. I’m ready for all things basic, Pumpkin Spice, and the sound of crunching leaves. One of my favorite things about fall is the return of Mickey pumpkins on Main Street, and all the instagrammable goodies that are perfect for the season. Today, we’re sharing our favorite spooky treats that you need to try this Halloween season in case you’re headed to the parks.
Halloween Cinnamon Roll – Available Daily at Main Street Bakery
I always love a cinnamon roll, but I love it, even more, when it’s the size of my face and looks like a mixture of Mickey-mouse and Halloween.
Chocolate Mickey Waffle Sundae – Party Exclusive, Available at Sleepy Hollow
You guys know by now how much I love the waffle sundaes at Sleepy Hollow, so when I heard that this year is a CHOCOLATE Mickey waffle, I felt like Disney had broken into my house and read my diary.
Maleficent Cone – Available Daily at Storybook Treats
This is a refreshing option, of lime soft serve, which is perfect considering its normally 100 degrees at Halloween parties.
Pumpkin Spice Soft Serve Sundae – Available Daily at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
I’m a giant fan of the candy-corn ice cream from years past, but you know what’s better than candy corn? Pumpkin spice. Just ask the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte countdown calendar that I have on my wall.
Lots-O-Burger – Party Exclusive, Available at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
I love that Halloween parties are starting to add more savory options (because your girl is almost 30, and can only eat so much sugar before she throws up). I’m always down for a burger, and the specialty ones as Cosmic Rays are always good.
Jack and Sally Push Cake Pops – Party-Exclusive, Available at Carts near Cinderella Castle
Sally is joining Jack this year, and while this treat is more cute than memorable, it’s still a good safe choice.
Bonus pick: Pumpkin Spice Mickey Beignets
I’m adding this as a bonus pick because you have to go out of the parks to get them, but a trip to Port Orleans French Quarter is well worth the pumpkin-spice beignets that are shaped like our favorite mouse.
